Actor, singer and songwriter tamer came to public recognition as a contestant on the very first season of American Idol where she placed fourth.

She has acted on TV in “Boston Public” on FOX, in “Home & Family” on Hallmark, in the movies “The Gospel” and” Rachel getting married”, starred on Broadway three times in “Bombay Areas”, “Rent” and “Once on this island”.

She has also toured across America in several musicals including “Into the woods”, “once on the island”, “Sleeping beauty and twist”.

Tamyra Gray married “Color Me Badd” singer Sam Watters. Together they have two children.
